Faster Boil Times
With induction, heat transfers directly to the cookware bypassing the cooktop surface, making induction incredibly fast. * 10" induction upper right burner, 6 qt./10" diameter pot, 1 qt. tepid water.
Gas Benefits, Without the Remodel
Our PowerPlus(TM) Induction Cooktop offers the speed, control, and consistency of gas, without requiring the converting of your kitchen from electric to gas.
Flexible Cooking
SpacePro(TM) Bridge Element allows you to cook two separate dishes at once, or combine elements for large pots or griddle-use.
Easy-to-Clean Cooktop
Unlike traditional electric and gas cooktops, induction only heats the pan and the food in it, so the area around the pan stays cooler, allowing you to clean up spills and splatters while you cook.
Controlled Cooking
Adjusts from a powerful boil to a gentle simmer instantly - ideal for rice, soups and sauces.
Professional-Grade Controls
Heavy-duty knobs deliver precise temperature control, whether you're simmering, saut(eback)ing, searing or boiling.
Energy Efficient Cooking
Use less energy while you cook with energy-efficient induction technology which heats the pan directly so less heat loss in the cooking process.
Compatible with most cookware
Most stainless steel and cast iron cookware is compatible with induction elements. Rule of thumb: if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware, it's induction-compatible. * Pan performance may vary based on cookware material and quality.

Three weeks in - so far so good

Mostly very happy for the switch from LP gas to induction. I have never used an induction cooktop before so I can't compare to other brands or models. I like the knobs and the general layout of the burners though they seem a little bit too close together. It is a challenge finding cookware, I thought my cast iron pans would be great, but the bottoms are not as perfect as the stove wants so they cook unevenly. Water boils so fast and the burners change temperature a half a second after turning the knob so there is a lot of control which I love. The cooktop itself is quite a bit smaller than the 36" gas cooktop I took out and that made installation quite finicky since I had only 1/8" of overlap onto the counter after having built the opening smaller. It did work, but a little more overlap would be nice. Cleanup is so easy and after three weeks I am seeing that the surface is pretty sturdy and doesn't scratch easily which is a relief. It is pretty quiet except when it is not happy with a pan and lid that is not as perfect as the stove wants. I will gradually be looking for higher quality cookware since even new but cheaper cookware is not what the cooktop is asking for. Compared to other brands, Frigidaire was very reasonably priced and that influenced my purchase since it is a big investment for new technology that may still be evolving. All in all I am happy so far.
Horrible - do not buy!

Although the cooktop cooks nicely, right after the warranty was up, one of the burners quit working, a $562.00 repair, after 6 months, it happened again, Frigidaire refused to do anything about it even though it was an obvious defect in the product. Out of 5 Frigidaire appliances purchased, only one has worked correctly. We will NEVER purchase another product from them!
STOP don't BUY

I install my cooktop one week ago and so far very happy with its performance. It has a sleek design and control knob which makes it easy to use.

Two weeks only but am very satisfied with the cooktop. New to induction and it is very reactive to temperature changing, as close as I could expect to gas. The knob control was one of the reasons we went with this model and are glad we made that decision. I would buy this cooktop again without any second thoughts.
