Faster Boil Times
With induction, heat transfers directly to the cookware bypassing the cooktop surface, making induction incredibly fast. * 10" induction upper right burner, 6 qt./10" diameter pot, 1 qt. tepid water.
Gas Benefits, Without the Remodel
Our PowerPlus(TM) Induction Cooktop offers the speed, control, and consistency of gas, without requiring the converting of your kitchen from electric to gas.
Flexible Cooking
SpacePro(TM) Bridge Element allows you to cook two separate dishes at once, or combine elements for large pots or griddle-use.
Easy-to-Clean Cooktop
Unlike traditional electric and gas cooktops, induction only heats the pan and the food in it, so the area around the pan stays cooler, allowing you to clean up spills and splatters while you cook.
Controlled Cooking
Adjusts from a powerful boil to a gentle simmer instantly - ideal for rice, soups and sauces.
Professional-Grade Controls
Heavy-duty knobs deliver precise temperature control, whether you're simmering, saut(eback)ing, searing or boiling.
Energy Efficient Cooking
Use less energy while you cook with energy-efficient induction technology which heats the pan directly so less heat loss in the cooking process.
Compatible with most cookware
Most stainless steel and cast iron cookware is compatible with induction elements. Rule of thumb: if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware, it's induction-compatible. * Pan performance may vary based on cookware material and quality.

Before purchasing this, I spent ~6 months using a Duxtop portable induction cooktop so that I could learn the ins and outs of induction cooking, and as a result I had some experience and expectations going into this.I specifically chose this Frigidaire model because it is controlled with traditional knobs, rather than a touchscreen menu, and has a reasonable price tag. I find buttons to give a very sad cooking experience, and I was alarmed at reviews of EVERY touchscreen model, which reported problems when the touchscreen got wet or even damp. BTW the knobs themselves are robust metal (not plastic), feel high quality, and are super easy to take off and clean. The cooktop itself gives a medium-pitch hum during operation. No high-pitched noises - in contrast to the portable unit which got constant complaints from the kids with their young undamaged ears. We all find the operational noise level quite reasonable. One minor complaint is that sometimes the cooktop will silently deliver less power than you have come to expect. For example, if you put a small pot on a large burner, it may deliver less power than if you put the same pot on a small burner. Also, I tried one of those silicone mats to prevent slipping and scratching, but the extra distance from the surface was apparently too much and reduced the power by 50%. I wish the cooktop would report when it reduces power. But I suspect all cooktops behave the same in this respect. In summary, this is a beautiful cooktop, with pleasing and intuitive knob controls, and has been performing very well in the 5 months we've been using it.

No complaints. Intuitive. Cooks faster than gas if you want to. Much easier to clean than gas. Crisp look in the kitchen.
Highly disappointed

I have waited so long for my new kitchen and we ordered all Frigidaire products. The dishwasher is quiet, but holds a lot of condensation, the fridge drawers seem cheap and watch the doors; they were dent very easily. I'll find out if my double oven is worth the money when I cook the turkey and ham in my double oven. I did purchase a 5 year warranty, but that has not panned out with this repair service for the past two months. My main disappointment is my 36 inch induction cooktop with the knobs. When we received it, it was already scratched up. I placed a review based on whether or not my cooktop was used or refurbished, but the review was never accepted. I hope this one will be. The largest burner on my cooktop is not working. Service men came, diagnosed, ordered the part, and we got the part in less than a week. We understood that the cost for the repair is over $1200, pretty much the cost of the cooktop (that I think was refurbished). Why couldn't they just order another cooktop for that cost? Meanwhile, appointments were not kept by them, we find out that another part is in backorder, and my newly scratched cooktop's largest burner is not working for the holidays. My brother decided to go with a gas cooktop and that is what I recommend. At this point, it doesn't seem that Frigidaire is going to accept any responsibility for this unfortunate occurrence, as I am sure their appliances are working fine for the holidays. Meanwhile, I will have to purchase a portable cooktop for my new Frigidaire kitchen with new Frigidaire appliances. All the best if you have the same cooktop!

This is the second induction cooktop weâve owned and absolutely love it. Itâs the only 36â model we could find that had knobs instead of touch buttons, and itâs a huge benefit to have them as the touch buttons have all kinds of usability problems.
Love!!

Love this induction cooktop, especially the knobs that are so easy to use as opposed to touch screen which can be so sensitive and frustrating. Highly recommend this cooktop!
