I bought 6 Kitchen Aid appliances in Nov 2018 because of a kitchen remodel and this was one of them. Never had a convection oven so when my husband used it for the first time to cook chicken, he loved it. I love that I can cook eggs and bacon without a pan.

Although the range was purchased approximately 3 1/2 years ago, usage has been minimal. That being said there has been a grinding noise which I attributed to the fan not turning while in convection mode beginning within 2 years of very limited service. Now, this noise happens on basic bake as well. This range was part of a full Kitchen Aid appliance suite, now I have to find a trustworthy repair service to resolve the issue.

This stove is going to take some "getting use to" according to my wife. Our old gas stove and oven were simple compared to this one. All in all we are please with the appliance
Year in Review with my KSGG700ESS Gas Range

I've owned this model KSGG700ESS gas range from KitchenAid for over a year and as beautiful of an appliance that it is and as much as I want to be in love with it it suffers from some poor functional design and quality. Pros * Very attractive appliance * Large burners with high BTUs * Oven window is large and good lighting to peer through. * Oven is spacious and the steam and easy convection function works pretty well. Cons * Stainless material scratches easily * Burners don't do a good job of distributing flame across cooking surfaces, including cast iron, stainless, non-stick aluminum, etc, resulting in cool and hot spots. Large burners on 12" skillet pushed flames out causing cool spots in the center and smaller burners on 8" skillet had the opposite problem. * Burner knobs do not make micro adjustments to flame when going from L to M to H. Micro indicators would be useful here before coming to a stop on the next flame level. The smooth control would work too if it actually adjusted the flame. * The Aqualift cleaning system was horrible and just about worthless. Be prepared to use elbow grease for some deep scrubbing. * The touch control pad is sensitive and remembering to lock it down before wiping it down is a bit of a nuisance. It's also a good idea to not do this if something is in the oven or you risk shutting the cooking cycle down. * Oven fan seems to run for a long time after cooking is done. * Exterior surface gets pretty hot after cooking at high temperatures and for long periods. This makes me question the quality of insulation.
