In general, I really love this range and am happy we decided on this one specifically. Having the simmer burner and the dual purpose center burner has been very useful. However, the oven broil function only works some of the time and there is no pattern to when it does and when it does not. Using the broiler is a bit of a crapshoot.

We have had it for about 2 hours. Our first cook was bacon on the griddle just to try it out. Then fried Pierogies in the cast iron pan. I only put the nob to level 3, a little less than medium. They cooked perfectly. I can't wait to try out the 2 ovens.

This is now the second GE oven that we have purchased. The first that was the model prior to this one had the issue with the control panel resetting the over whenever you opened the lower door if the oven was hot. It would cancel the bake, and reset both the top and bottom oven. We got that declared a lemon by Best Buy, and they agreed to replace it with this new version. It then took 1 year for the new version to be delivered and installed. Today we got the new version, and lo and behold, it was built with the wrong face plate on the touch screen. It had the old touch screen so when you pressed settings, it turned on Air Fry. When you pressed lock controls, it went to settings, and when you pressed oven lights, it tries to lock the controls. So now we need to take another half day to get a new one installed. Sigh. When it works, it's great,

This double oven is the next best thing to a built-in double oven when your kitchen can't accommodate one. Before when Baking multiple items at different temperatures and trying to have them done at the same time has always been an issue with just one oven. Though I haven't had the oven very long I have thoroughly enjoyed the convenience of having both ovens. Very happy with my purchase.
