I have never grind my own beans before. I buy my coffee at Starbucks and let them do the work. My son gifted me the coffee grinder and the spice grinders for Christmas. He knows I am a Kitchen Aid FANATIC! Now this is the only way I will ever drink my coffee...grinding my own beans and the grinder is so easy to use and clean. Who would had thought this would be such an easy task and have better coffee. Even my co-workers at work love for me to make coffee for them. Thank you Kitchen aid for making the best "Kitchen Aid" literally for our kitchens. I am a proud owner of many Kitchen Aid appliances and small appliances like a 36 range stove, dishwasher, side-by-side ice box, Pro Line standup mixer, Pro Line Espresso Machine, food processor, many gadgets etc, etc. I am a loyal Kitchen Aid customer because their products do what they are meant to do and look beautiful in my kitchen. Again, thank you to the Kitchen Aid creators for always going above and beyond to bring the best products to our homes for enjoyment and "aid" in our kitchens. Keep up the new inventions!

I bought this to grind dog food for my aging chi WA WA dog. It works very good on most dog food. Some of the bigger dog food is so hard , I have a problem grinding all of it.

I continue to use this coffee grinder 1 to 2 times a week. I am happy to say it continues to work like new. My only issue is that I cannot fill the bowl to the high mark of the bowl. When I do, some beans do not get ground. Not a big deal, I just grind less than 12 cups at any one time. Otherwise, I have not experienced the problems that others have written in their reviews. One thing is certain,some seem to have not read the instructions. One writer said that they pulse grind like the instructions say. The instructions specifically says Do Not Pulse Grind. I like this grinder & I recommend it highly.
