Doesn't live up to usual KitchenAid standards

As you'll read in many (many!) other reviews, this attachment works just fine - until it begins to chip. And that doesn't take long, no matter how careful you are in hand-washing it. Once it starts chipping, you're faced with the worry of chips (enamel?) ending up in your food. The only alternative KitchenAid offers has no enamel coating, but it soon tarnishes and starts turning batters and doughs gray. HELLO, KITCHENAID: This has been reported and lamented for years now. Would you please respond to your gazillions of otherwise-satisfied users and offer a stainless steel version? (And while you're at it, how about discontinuing the two you offer now, since they're both unacceptably defective?)
Better than what my mixer came with

I bought this because I like to put my beaters in the top rack of my dishwasher. The piece that came with the mixer oxidizes if you do that and leaves a grey/residue. This does not do that. It eventually chip and I have to buy another one. I wish I could buy a stainless steel one but I haven’t found it
Great mixer, horrible chipped beater

Why can't Kitchen Aid solve this problem? You have the tech expertise to make a great mixer, but after years of complaints, can't make a decent beater out of stainless steel without the chemical coated surface that chips, and ruins food as a result. After replacing twice, I now buy the hard plastic and half rubber blade from Amazon. Had one of those break, but at least I didn't have chips of paint/coating in my cake.

The coating on the flat coated mixing attachment for our Artisan Kitchinaid mixer is chipping off. Not good to have in your batter! I see this is a common problem. Kitchinaid needs to fix this! Our model is KSM150PSBK. The part is K5THCB. Afraid to purchase a new one since the same problem will probably occur.

I used this beater just three times and the porcelain chipped. I hand washed it. It would be nice if there was a flex beater available as well. As well as flat beater made of aluminum in stead of enamel that chips. I love my mixer, but not this attachment.
