It is hard to get it to work. Called Kitchenaid and said that happens to that appliance. Took it back to the store and got a refund.

Hate it!. It is extremely difficult to attach the top to the base. Had to read the directions numerous times to figure out you had to hold the handle and twist. Small appliances should be easy to use, and this isn't! Really surprised at KitchenAid. Normally love their appliances.
