Bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace our cheap Hamilton Beach that seemed to only run two speeds, fast and turbo. The speed adjustment is smooth and has a great range from slow to fast. Only complaint is I wish it included more attachments. I was especially excited about the whisk attachment mentioned in the instructions, only to find it discontinued and the few places that still sell it charge more than we paid for the whole mixer.

I guess this review is for the replacement that Kitchen Aid sent me for this mixer. They were very prompt in replacing the defective one I'd had after only 6 months. This replacement is working fine.

I have owned my 5 speed for 2 months and love it. I have been a KitchenAid hand mixer owner for over 35 years, finally had to get a new one. I know this one will last a long time also!
