It's low speeds are good for initial mixing of ingredients. The high speeds could be a bit higher, but it generally has been a good mixer.

My husband bought this for me because my other one burnt up. He bought kitchenaid because it is a better brand. The mixer I have is nice but when it is all the way up to 5 it is very slow and doesn’t mix well at all. Very disappointed.
