I just bought this a few weeks ago along with a larger mixer and used it once so far. Here's my take on it; it shredded the cheeses very quickly, uniformly, and the equipment was quick and ready to clean up. Much easier clean up than my standard counter model! I definitely recommend the Kitchenaid Food Processor.

The only thing that I would change is the size of the chute. It is so small, that you have to cut everything to get it to fit. You can't slice a potato for chips, etc.

Over time I have "burnt up" stand alone processsors and their drive belts. This unit shows no sign of those "weakpoints" and I look forward to many years of use.

I purchased two of these. One for personal use and one for our small youth group to make pasties to fundraise for their annual mission trips. My personal one broke right away. I was dicing potatoes and the motor froze. I cut the pieces small enough to fit in the feeder and was not forceful with it at all. The second one did the same thing. We now have two units that do not work and $400 wasted.
