I've had a cheap stand mixer for quite awhile and decided it was time to upgrade. The Artisan Mini is the perfect size. It has a solid heft and feel. The bowl locks in place nicely and everything works great.

The smaller size is easier to manage especially when making smaller batches of food and/or cookies. The quality of this appliance is excellent. I have an old white KA stand mixer 4.5 qts. that still works great. My new 3.5 empire red one is bright and cheery. I'm keeping both.

I've made two recipes with it so far with it and I'm in love. The size is great for an apartment with little kitchen space. Easy to clean and easy to use. Would love to try with attachments but so far, I'm so happy with it.
