Not as robust as previous Kitchen Aid Mixers

Bought this red tilt-head stand mixer for myself for Christmas and I am horribly disappointed. I replaced a Kitchen Aid mixer that I have had for many, many years and this one does not even come close to the quality of the previous mixer. I was horrified to read in theTroubleshooting area of the directions "The Stand Mixer may warm up during use. Under heavy loads with extended mixing time periods, you may not be able to comfortably touch the top of the unit. This is normal." I make heavy, sweet sticky doughs all the time and NEVER had a problem with my earlier Kitchen Aid heating up. I am sorry I wasted my money. I do not see this one as lasting very long.
Just the right size

I just purchased the 3.5 Quart Stand Mixer and love the size. I previously owned a 5 Quart and found it too heavy and big for my small kitchen. This one is not too big, not too small ----just right
Great Mixer

Have the Professional 6 Quart. However, the Mini at 3.5 Quarts is perfect for all our regular needs. We love both Artisans but the Mini was the best addition!
very easy to move around

I have limited use of my hands due to arthritis and had a large KitchenAid that I always had to ask my husband to carry from pantry to kitchen now I can lift this one by myself and I love it. There is plenty of room in the 3.5 Quart for every recipe I have made to date so I am really happy with this mixer and I love the red color!
