I finally realized I needed a stand mixer to make mixing tasks easier, and found the answer to my need quickly and easily with this mini Artisan 3.5 mixer. It's the perfect size for a two-person family. I mixes superbly well, I was very impressed the first few minutes, and I'm a pretty picky person. I've made bread dough in it and cookie dough so far, and wow, what a difference this mixer makes in the quality of the blending over doing it by hand and sometimes with discomfort (due to arthritis starting in my hands). I love everything about this mixer. It came with the flex-edge flat beater, and I also bought the regular flat beater, because I didn't want to use the flex-edge beater mixing raw meat. I'm looking forward to using the mixer for meatloaf, meatballs and mini-burgers. I absolutely love the stainless steel bowl with the handle. The handle is a huge bonus! I'm glad I decided to get the stand mixer, but I certainly wish I would have gotten it sooner!

I love my Artisan Mini because of the small footprint it has in my kitchen but the strength it has to do the mixing I need. When I compared the mini to the classic, it was a no brainer. I do not need to make the large amounts that the classic provides and its physical size.

I didn't realize how much I can do with my stand mixer, it has replaced so many other gadgets in my kitchen. It did shake a little, but Kitchenaid has been great about getting me a replacement under warranty.
