After washing in the dishwasher the attachments are giving off a black powder residue that transfers to hands and food. I am very disappointed in this product.

Recieved this upgraded machine for Christmas last year. Placed in dishwasher as recommended and it came out covered in black residue. I have to rewash it each time to get the black off. Definitely not KA standards, and I had my previous white paddle for 15+ years with no issue! Please advise.

I used this flat beater while baking and put it in the dishwasher after use. When I removed it from the dish washer, it was completely tarnished, coated in a black soot. I am extremely disappointed I was only able to use this beater one time.
This is not stainless steel. . . .

We purchased a stand unit last year and have only used it a few times over the course of the year, The flat beater attachment has become covered with a black residue that renders this attachment useless for food preparation. The material used in the casting of this beater is certainly not stainless steel! I see by the reviews that this is not a one -off experience> I cannot recommend this product for food preparation for anyone. The machine itself is well built but the attachments are of a quality that I would not expect are up to the KitchenAid standards either. Hopefully, Kitchen Aid will provide a remedy for this. Thank you....
Not actually dishwasher safe.

I put this in the dishwasher for easy cleanup, as advertised. It came out with a powdery black residue and completely ruined. That powder gets on food if used. I had to throw it away. NOT actually Stainless Steel. I do not recommmend.
