After having horrible results with the flat beater that came with my Professional 600 mixer (gray residue from the beater into my batters and frostings) and very poor response from KitchenAid about the problem, I bought this flat beater hoping it would fit my mixer. At first it did not; it was too long and hit the bowl. I made an adjustment to the mixer to raise the beater height and now it does not hit the bowl!

We got this recently and love it. It and the whisk are both dishwasher safe, so cleanup is much easier. We had the Profession 600 model with the glass bowl, and the bowl got cracked. We decided to switch to a 6 qt stainless bowl, and our attachments didn't fit, so we bought new ones. We got the 'regular' flat beater (some allow with plastic on the outside) and it was fine, but the new whisk was all stainless, so we decided to try this beater, and it fits. Given the heft it will last forever.

I bought last week I used it today to make coffee cake I can tell the difference,heavy stainless steel ,easy and quick to beat sugar and butter ,I am glad I buoght one ,for my Epicurean 6Qt bowl ,work just fine.
