I received this for Christmas and was swept away with excitement and genuine happiness. I have the newest of the Flour Power 6 mixers in addition to this. My luck in the past has been met with horror as my KitchenAid Mixers break down and constantly need to be sent to the mixer repair center, which is very costly for me. The new addition to the appliance family in my kitchen has out performed to my highest expectation. The only problem I have is that the lift bowl rim has several rough raised burrs that need sanding down and touch up paint applied. For the price of the unit which was over $1,000, it should be in pristine condition, not only with operation but cosmetic appearance as well.

It is a great machine, but don't be fooled it is not for commercial use. What it is good for, is if you like to make extra big mixes. I would not recommend this to a person that does very little baking and does small mixes. The six cup machine will be much better for you.

Ok Folks...you cannot go wrong with this one, hands down it has longevity, great service, and just always works. I received mine Christmas of 1978 with the dough hook, the whip, and flat beater. For 38 years that beauty has decorated my kitchen counter and still looks like the day my then fiance bought it for me. Hubby and I had our 35th Anniversary this year. And my Mixer is running great. I don't abuse her, but I do use her.

If you need a serious stand mixer and need the footprint for a home kitchen, this is the one. Serious motor, stainless steel blades,. Nice aesthetics. If you find the security screen annoying, it unscrews in less than a minute.
