This mixer replaced another refurbished mixer that only worked twice. I’ve used it 5 times now and it seems to be working just fine! These mixers are great. I’ve used others at friends’ homes and in the kitchen at church.

I purchased the beautiful Refurbished Professional HD™ Series Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer RKG25HOXER as a Mother's Day gift to myself. I wanted a proper mixer for years. I am completely in love, can not tell it is not brand new. I have baked bread and made pasta for the first time in my life!!! I am getting out cookbooks and recipes and excited about cooking and baking again!! My hubby and girls love the bread and are asking for variations on the tomato pasta I made. I bought the mixer bible and can not wait to experiment with new ideas. The Empire Red is fabulous and the bowl-lift feature was easy to use. The speed is 475 and great for dough and cookies. I would recommend new or refurbished. You can not go wrong!! Last week I went to Sur La Table in NYC and took a Dinner with KitchenAid cooking class to try out all the attachments before purchasing. What fun I am having!!! Yesterday I made pasta with KA mixer but rolled out by hand - now the I have tried both ways, I will buy the pasta roller and cutter attachments - so much easier and less work!! I could go on about the speed of making cakes - it was less than 3 minutes - I was not ready for that! Just buy this KitchenAid model, it is wonderful!!

I did not know this was refurbished when I purchased it. Used it to make bread dough. Beater rubbed a dent in the bowl. I should have considered the weight of the mixer as I am 70 years old. I should have taken it back for a lighter mixer.

First of all, my mixer isn't refurbished, it's new and sadly it just doesn't seem as durable as the one i had for more than 10 years that finally needed replaced. it seems like the quality of kitchenaid mixers continues to decrease as years go by as my old mixer wasn't as durable as the one my mother had and i grew up using. i guess that is just the way things are made now because they are still better than most of the other mixers out there plus the motor is really loud
