We finally broke down and bought this now that we have enough counter space in our new condo. So glad we did. We used it for the Thanksgiving meal preparations, including: pumpkin roll, pumpkin pie mix, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. After needing only a minor upward adjustment to the bowl (easy to do with a flat head screwdriver), it worked perfectly. The whisk made quick work of the potatoes and produced the lightest, fluffiest mashed potatoes we've ever had. The beater blade did an excellent job on the green bean casserole, mixing everything perfectly without damaging the beans or onions. We will use it to make some tougher mixes over Christmas, including some pretty stiff cookie and bread doughs, but based on what we've seen so far, it'll be a joy. How did we live this long without it?

I've had this product for about 3 weeks now. I've made three batches of whole wheat bread, one batch of cookies, two batches of banana bread, 4 pumpkin pie fillings and two batches of pie crust. This is a refurbished unit, it came with a dent in the top, but other than that it seems to work just fine. The bowl was a little tricky to press into place properly, my husband, who had owned one before had to show me how to do it, but I've got the hang of it now and it isn't that big of a deal. I store this in a lower cabinet and put it on the countertop only when I use it, just because I don't have tons of counter space. I'd guess it weighs about 10 lbs or so . . .I'm in my 50's and reasonably fit . . .it really isn't much trouble to pick it up and put it on the counter whenever I need it. An older or more frail person would probably choose to just keep it on the counter. My wide batter beater doesn't always mix things completely on it's own, so I'll lower the bowl once or twice (turning off the motor first) and scrape the bowl edges with a spatula and that does a fine job.
