I bought the Artisan for the ability to make bread and pizza dough. I went with a Refurbished because of most of the reviews saying they were in excellent shape. Mine arrived and I can not tell it is not a brand new unit except that the box indicated refurb and the warranty is for a refurb. Otherwise, not a scratch on it, works perfectly. Very happy with my new Artisan stand mixer.

I purchased this refurbished mixer and I'm very happy with it - mostly. It mixes things like cakes, meringue, and frosting very easily. For thicker batter, like cookie dough, there is quite a bit of vibration in the unit. I also used it for creamed, mashed potatoes and it handled them beautifully with no vibration. With the reduced price, I am willing to put up with a bit of vibration.
