I liked this toaster until it recently decided to only start toasting one side. We've had it ~10 months. Disappointed because I generally love our KitchenAid appliances- especially their dishwashers.

I bought this toaster as a replacement for an old toast master that finally had died. This new Kitchen Aid toaster is working great so far and it does a much beter job than my old one.

I received this as a Christmas gift last year. It looks beautiful on the counter, but performs poorly. As other reviewers have commented, it toasts very unevenly. My husband uses it the most to make frozen waffles on the weekends. He has to toast it on the lowest setting, flip it, toast it again, and hope it doesn’t burn (which 95% of the time it does). I was hoping it would work better once it was broken in, but after a year of hearing my husband complain, “I hate this toaster. Why did you get rid of our old one?” I think it’s time to look for a replacement. Granted, our old toaster wasn’t the prettiest, it did work much better. This is very disappointing because I love my other Kitchenaid appliances. Do yourself a favor, and find something else if you’re looking to buy a toaster.
