Love this toaster. It has several wonderful features that ensure you get the perfect toast every time. Adjust for bread or Beagles frozen or not. Need just a little more toasting? There a feature for that as well.

I BOUGHT THIS TO MATCH THE OTHER PRO LINE ITEMS I HAVE. IT IS FANTASTIC AND YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR YES IT IS EXPENSIVE BUT IT WORKS GREAT AND LOOKS MORE LIKE A PIECE OF ART ON SHOW.

I initially felt something was wrong with my unit as the bread would not toast dark, even with the setting at the highest. I only eat whole grain bread that has a dark "complexion" already. I bought white bread to test it, and sure enough, it toasted black. So, if you only use whole grain breads, and you like dark toast, you might not like this unit. It takes longer to toast, and it doesn't toast dark & crisp. I could return it, but really like everything else about it.

This is the second proline toaster I have purchased. The first one was the prior generation 4 slice toaster. Solid and well made made. I was looking to down size to a 2 slice toaster so naturally I bought another kitchenaid proline. Great, well thought out toasters! Love everything about it from warming button to the red color! Buy one and you won't regret it,
