You either lover or hate this design. I purchased this toaster because there was really no other well built, descent looking toaster available. I already own a Kitchenaid blender and I am disappointed that Kitchenaid does not keep any consistency in their color schemes over the different countertop appliances. My Kitchenaid blender is white but this color was not available for this toaster line, so I was obligated to take the pearly white. I do feel this color does make the blender look cheaper but it is the closest thing to white. This toaster is well built but overpriced at 299$. I would say that it is well worth half of that. It is however the only toaster that I found with an automatic lift mechanism, good built quality a 5 year warranty, and relatively good reviews. I own the 220v (Euro) version of the toaster and it does toast evenly and browns toast and bagels sufficiently. If yours does not brown enough, I think you need to return it. I do feel that the lifting mechanism does not lift the toast high enough out of the toaster and there is no way to manually lift the toast a bit higher out of the toaster. The toaster gives a gentle sound when the toast is done. The "keep warm" function comes in handy. The toaster came with 1 tosti/croque monsieur clam to make cheese sandwishes, for 299$ I would have expected 2 of these.

Have had this toaster for a month. While great looking, it is a pricey annoyance. Even when set for "dark" toast barely toasts to light. Needs a second toasting for medium toast. I am sorry I purchased it.

I bought this toaster about a month ago and it is a quality product. Just pick up this toaster and you will feel the weight and be able to see how well it is made. I do wish the toast popped up higher but I am extremely satisfied with this purchase!

We purchased this toaster 4 months ago and have been very pleased. I wanted to put a cover over it and my wife said it looks to nice to cover up and to leave it displayed on the counter. I admit it does look nice and if you can afford this toaster it is worth the money spent.
