My wife and I have been contemplating buying the opal 2.0 with side tank for quite some time now. $600 is a decent amount of money to spend on an ice machine. Spent a few weeks watching video reviews, and reading other peoples reviews. If you’re not certain about buying it, and you need/want an ice machine, BUY IT!! You will not regret it! The built in LED is great at night for the kids needing a drink, and the touch less buttons give it a great finish look. The WIFI capabilities and user friendly app interface really bring it all together.

First one died after two years - zero repair support. Purchased new model- works but makes a lot of strange noises. Buy extra warranty!

We have an issue with our refrigerator ice maker and I did extensive research to find this!!!!! So happy we bought. We make about 9 lbs a day. Kids love eating the soft ice. We drink so much more water using this ice. Have had for 3 weeks and really love this investment. Having a smart ice machine slows to pre set when you want it to come on and for how long. We have ice ready for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We save the extra ice and store it in our deep freezer.
