My wife and I had the original Opal from before GE took over. It was great but started to suffer from electrical issues. This new one blows the old one out of the water. Way faster, quieter, and even better to look at.

I purchased this in July & the unit quit making nuggets in Oct. Unit went to making slush ice & I'm still waiting on a refurbished replacement & its Dec.!
