Fridge stopped working after a year and 7 months and warranty is only a year :(

We waited 17 months to receive our fridge and freezer combo. Since receiving it, the fridge has worked well, except for ice building up on the inside right mid-bottom corner. Last week, the fridge started making some unusual noises and then stopped cooling. We called the service center from where we purchased it. I had thought we had a 2 year warranty. NOPE! The warranty is only 1 year and it's been 1 year and 7 months since we received our fridge, so now we have to pay for all repairs and parts out of pocket. I would expect a fridge that is less than 2 years old to not only last longer, but that we do not need to spend hundreds of dollars to fix. It's beyond frustrating and extremely disappointing. I will say, we love the look of the fridge and haven't had any issues with the freezer yet. They both hold so much food. It is also nice that they are 2 separate units, since we had to remove everything from our fridge and we were able to put a lot of food in our freezer, so at least we didn't lose hundreds of dollars in food costs as well. But, with the short time we've had the fridge, I would expect a better warranty from Frigidaire.
