I was looking for a compact food processor that I could leave out on my counter all the time, and this fit the bill perfectly. It may not be the most powerful unit out there, but it performs all the functions I need it to. I use it mostly to shred cabbage and cheese. I bought the red one, and the splash of color livens up my kitchen.

Love the bigger capacity for large batches, where before was using the mini variety and had to run with two stages. Great for,pestos!

I own a much larger food processor so the size of the kitchen aid is perfect for leaving the machine on the counter for smaller jobs. While it does a great job chopping and grating, the way the lid is attached makes the insert fall out every time it is opened. And the 2 peice chopping blade (which does not lock into place) means you have to rememeber to remove the blade before dumping out the contents pf the bowl or risk losing a finger. I would recommend the processor but I think the top and blade design needs some tweaking
