I purchased a professional 5 plus mixer. When I opened the box beater was chipped. I returned it to the store for another one. I used once only to have a chip appear on the beater as I was washing it. I made sure it didnt hit bottom of bowl using a dime as recommended. I am very frustrated with the quality of this product.

The coating chipped off into my cookie dough on the first use. I’ve read reviews on the stainless steel and that one is just as bad. Come on Kitchenaid!

Same issue as everyone else. Just chips off and has gotten into the dough that I was mixing. Horrible manufacturing.

I love my 5 qt. stand mixer. I make a lot of baked goods for my family, but I’m working one handed but I have lost the use of the flat beater due to the paint/coating coming off. It almost seems as if the metal is corroding underneath. It’s bumpy. I am very disappointed and don’t know what else to do. I can send photo, if you would like.
