We like this mixer. However the white enamel coating has been slowly chipping off the flat beater ever since we got it. We’ve got the same problem everyone else has.

I am having the same issue as all the other users. Chipping. I can’t believe there hasn’t been a recall to correct the issue.

I have purchased 5-6 coated beaters. Because this is the only mixer I have, in between buying beaters, I am unable to fix cookie dough, cakes and other items that require beating. It's time for me to buy another beater. These expenditures have made owning this mixer very expensive

I rarely use my mixer, but this beater started chipping with little use. The coating ends up in my food. KitchenAid doesn't want to replace this part. Consider different brands.

Received my new mixer as a present and after the first use the coating chipped off and I had to toss out all the mixing because it had metal shavings all through it - for the price I thought this product was suppose to be A+ - afraid of what it is going to do next -- having problems finding a replacement as well --- Why does this cost sooooo much
