I have a problem with getting someone to return my calls or emails about concerns. Since this is a new expensive machine for me, I am concerned that I may have a defective machine or maybe this is normal. I emailed some questions just now on a Sunday and I hope I receive an answer.
High-quality attachments sold me on this mixer.

I bought this mixer to replace a Kitchenaid Professional 600 model, which generally performed well but had a couple of problems: It was noisy and the attachments, specifically the flat beater and the dough hook, were of poor quality. I had both the plastic coated and the burnished aluminum attachments; the former chipped and peeled and the latter oxidized. For some reason neither Kitchenaid nor any other vendor I could find makes stainless steel attachments for Kitchenaid home-style mixers. However the commercial 8-quart Kitchenaid does come with stainless steel attachments, and they are dishwasher safe. It's also much quieter in operation than the Professional 600 model, which makes a terrible whiny racket when cranked up to high speed. The commercial model does seem to strain a bit when kneading a large batch of bread dough, but otherwise works very well.
Wow What a great mixer.

I bought this mixer to replace an existing Kit hen Aidmixer that had broke. I do a lot of baking and this commercial mixer is fantastic. I had made Easter bread and boy my new Kitchen Aid did a great job. The only downfall is, I wish there was a cookbook just for this mixer due to its huge 8 quart bowl.
Excellent product

I have been using this product for several weeks. It replaced an 8 year old KitchenAid KSM150PSMC whose internals froze and gears stripped. I frequently make bread and making bread (more than one loaf) requires power, which this one has to spare. One caution, if you have a service interrupter (thing with red button on an outlet found in kitchens and bath) this may cause it to open and shut off the circuits power if you are run in another appliance the same time - this is not to be unexpected due to the current draw of the motor. So far the mixer far exceeds my expectations.
