Cabinet is sound proofed on the sides making unit ultra quiet. All you can hear is ice dropping. Overnight made almost full bin of ice.

Very pleased with our new Kitchen Aid Ice machine, our 4th purchase over 30+ years. These ice makers are well made and dependable but do wear out & need to be replaced from time to time, which explains our 4th purchase. However, these share great additions to anyone’s home or bar!

This is a replacement for a KitchenAid that I've had for years and thought it would be a simple installation. Found an unknown fitting on the supply inlet ( see photo). I visited Home Depot who sold me the ice maker. They had no one who knew, visited Lowes and they didn't know either. I finally did and extensive web search and found it was PEX piping connector. Only then was I comfortable removing it and the tubing piece in the female screw fitting. Wasted about two hours.
