We prefer black appliances, and when our old refrigerator died, this Whirlpool was the only black 30" model we could get with a reasonable delivery time. Buying a fridge sight-unseen was a bad idea - the interior of this model is very poorly planned. The crisper drawer is divided into two sections, neither of which has enough space. There is no room for more than one gallon bottle of milk without totally removing one of the shelves. The "pantry drawer " is a mystery - is one supposed to use it for meat, or for cold cuts, or what? Who would want to mix raw meats with cheeses, cold cuts, etc. in the same drawer? There are a few other annoyances - the cover over the hinge on the top of the door pops up, showing the bare metal hinge; and the white plastic feet are visible at the bottom. Shrink wrap must have been put on before the doors were installed, because there are still little fragments showing that we've been picking at when we have spare time. The refrigerator itself runs well and keeps food fresh, and if it weren't for the shortcomings, it would get a 5-star rating.
