We got one of these for our wedding a few years ago, but it started to get wobbly; so we bought another 9-speed mixer. This updated version seems stronger and will hopefully last longer.

We have had a 5 speed hand mixer from Kitchen Aid for years, and my wife loves it. However, when the chance came up to upgrade to the 9 speed. we bought it. It is a nicely finished casing, with lots of features and a good number of useful attachments including a storage bag for them. Runs great and will be useful for small batch cooking in the kitchen.

Adequate Replacement for an Older Model

This hand mixer is fine and probably the best one out there in its market segment. I couldn't help but notice a marked reduction in weight from my older model that I replaced. This appears to be primarily due to plastics and other composites in place of what was once metal. This new model also does not have a surge feature to step-up power one notch further over the highest speed.

I love this mixer...easy to use and no clunky parts to sort out and around. whipped potatoes, creamy cream cheese everything was so easy to prepare.
