I bought the Artisan mixer after suffering through a Sunbeam that couldn’t beat butter and sugar to make desserts. I was a little nervous to pay that much for a mixer, but I’m very happy overall with the KitchenAid. It is much better at blending and beating ingredients for baking. My only two wishes are that it could come with a smaller bowl for whipping small batches of whipping cream (It has a hard time if you don’t make a lot), and that the head could be detached for hand mixing desserts that are made on the stovetop (eg cream puff batter). It is quite heavy, so it needs to stay on my countertop rather than be stored in a cabinet.

This is my second mixer, first one would still be working if “somebody” wouldn’t have put a brown sugar “keeper” stone in the bowl. Kind of did a number on the unit!

I’ve been considering buying a KitchenAid stand mixer for some time. Just finished redoing my kitchen & decided to treat myself to an Artisan model. Just having so much fun using my mixer! Just ordered the pasta attachments. Can’t wait to try my hand at pasta!

I’ve had my mixer for over a week and put it to use right away. I was disappointed that it didn’t come with a recipe book but we have google and Pinterest. It was so easy to make cookies from scratch and cleanup was a breeze. I’m hoping to get many years out of my mixer.
