I bought this mixer a month ago and have enjoyed using it. While making the pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving the splash guard came in very handy so the pumpkin mix didn't splash all over the kitchen. There are numerous attachments/accessories for this mixer that can be used to make any dish from ice cream to noodles. It is very easy to use and clean up. I love it!

Some years ago I owned a Hamilton Beach stand mixer whose attachments could not reach the farthest reaches of the bowl and whose sharp whining motor stabbed through all other sound. The KitchenAid Artisan is not anything like that. It runs relatively quiet but was able to beast through the bread doughs I have made, and the attachments reach as far to the surface of the bowl as possible without actually scraping metal. I am absolutely pleased with my purchase here.
